A Sailor's Heart

I fell in love with a navy captain aboard a glorious ship he sails

I dream of him each day with my eyes wide open and at night closed so tight

He sails the seas of courage for the next island he finds time to write

And when he returns if he returns he will bring back his heart to mine

The anchors not buried but my heart is standing still, until I see his tall suit

In my arms once again, where we'll dance away our sorrows of loneliness no more
