Shattered mirror

Shattered mirror

Peering through the crack in the door
The door holding back the scars,
Scars left eroding heart & soul
Wishes long died, once heightened stars,
For left is the darkness, that seeps to hide
The cold shadows beckon, lurk in the dark,
Hurt by those that only love one way
To abuse, use & feelings hurt leave their mark,
Friends long gone, left now those who do not
Respect & caring, true is pushed aside,
For happiness echoes in the past
Locked away, key thrown & easy to hide,
Losing you Sent ripples through time
Dreams & plans we made as bubbles burst,
For I try to heal, & hide my scars that left
For you, my one & only was gone, the worst.
