She...

She...draped in fear
Held close her tears
for those once serene skies
That had paved a path
towards such radiant eyes
She accepted the shadows
from those unsightly clouds
Which hung proud
over her once verdant fields
Cupped the last tender petals
that spoke of true love
Kissed their pristine pink promise
Then cast them into the air
Which now held a spell of unspoken
broken sentiments
Still...she did not weep
But merely dragged her feet to push forward
Beyond the battleship grey skyline
Where she hoped to find
A little bit of sun still shined

The long long weary slog...that's what this says to me. Trying desperately to hold onto....something...to find anything meaningful again, and yes...it takes strength, super human fkn strength to keep pushing forward Gwen when the sword gets only blunter and the brambles thinker. Hi Gwen, I liked and starred yesterday but the gas engineer arrived before I had a chance to comment.
I really like the way this sad piece offers a bit of hope at the end...and as we all know hope is everything. I feel that it is the inner godess speaking through these words. Beautifully written x
