Poem -

She...

She...

She...draped in fear

Held close her tears
for those once serene skies

That had paved a path
towards such radiant eyes

She accepted the shadows
from those unsightly clouds

Which hung proud
over her once verdant fields

Cupped the last tender petals
that spoke of true love

Kissed their pristine pink promise

Then cast them into the air

Which now held a spell of unspoken
broken sentiments

Still...she did not weep

But merely dragged her feet to push forward
Beyond the battleship grey skyline

Where she hoped to find
A little bit of sun still shined

The long long weary slog...that's what this says to me. Trying desperately to hold onto....something...to find anything meaningful again, and yes...it takes strength, super human fkn strength to keep pushing forward Gwen when the sword gets only blunter and the brambles thinker. As ever an utterly beautiful write my lovely friend. P S...afterlife...season 3 is on Netflix now!!! Hugs ❤

This is seriously sad .. but it's there Gwen, the sun that is .. one just has to look hard enough & for long enough to see beyond the battleship grey ..
I know because your words made me open my eyes to that very fact ............................. Oh' & season three aint bad either ........................ x

Being Me

Hi Gwen, I liked and starred yesterday but the gas engineer arrived before I had a chance to comment.

I really like the way this sad piece offers a bit of hope at the end...and as we all know  hope is everything. I feel that it is the inner godess speaking through these words. Beautifully written x
