Sing

Now I've thought, I think I see
Not what I'd like but what could be.
How a late night, kettle and old oak table
Can atomise, alchemise, enhance, enable.

Tanked up on coke and Famous Grouse.

But maybe, again, it's having time
For reflection and firming up the spine.
Failure now I think, no matter the endeavour,
Will weigh no more than the lightest feather.

So I'm having a go at one rhyme a day
Hoping a little talent can go a long, long way
For if, indeed, words are my thing,
I've found my tune and I'll start to sing.
