Poem -

Slaughter

My heart was a slaughtered piece of meat and a hungry wolf like you came to eat.

I put my black dress on today.

The one that made you look my way.

Love isn't fair, when its going nowhere.

I didn't want to try and find another guy.

What was I supposed to do.

You admitted it.

You were with her a little bit.

She lured the stray.

--I knew I had lost you that day.

I was chasing a fairy tale.

Fascinated and fearful.

I'd kissed a fallen angel.

I'd smiled at a crocodile.

I saw the universe in his peridot eyes.

He was beautiful and he told beautiful lies.
