Strawberry Fields

Take me to strawberry fields and 
keep me dancing after dark
Stoke the bonfires on the beach with
The crackling boards we found
Watch the embers glow and the fire fairies dance in the salty air
Allow for my intoxication to clear
While kissing in the midnight sand
Searching for a reason to love when 
Childhood is over
The dark strawberry fields aside the ocean waves pounding
Resounding in my inner child the darkest night of the year
Fear was never far from my reality the stalking stranger recognized
Cornering me in my nightmare and all I hear is the pounding waves
smelling sweet strawberries covered in tears
