Sultana

Sultana

Sultana,
The one I see in dreams
The heat of the desert turns to ice
When I think of you
When I remember your lips and eyes
When I dream of you
I see the golden gleam of riches
Adorning your fair beauty
I recall the way you danced
By the fire light when no was there
In the tents of Azir
You called my name

I could not come dear
Forgive me
I would have moved heaven and earth
To take the penalty and pain
I would have cut off my own head
To prevent what they did
All I can see is your beautiful throat
The way your mouth curved in laughter
The way your kiss burned my mouth
Now the cold death of night
Envelopes your sleep
My Queen!
Why did you not tell them ?
Why spare me only to die each day I live?
In truth I tried to tell them
But the desert had its sentence
I was trapped in sandstorms deep
I was trapped by my frail humanity.
Please my soul is with you
Until death finds me as well
I am with you in my heart
Always
