Summer memories☀️

Summer memories☀️

I remember as a child
Playing in the sun.
Swingball in the garden.
Laughing, having fun.
Sandpit out and our
Water guns filled.
Soggy little toes as the
Garden tap spilled.
Dad with his feet up,
Resting in the shade.
Mum watching closely
As her washing we’ve just sprayed.
Rabbits in the garden
Running freely as they please.
Then pausing for a quick nap
In the cool beneath the trees.
Looking forward to this evening
As our friends are round for tea.
BBQ for dinner!!
Then a water fight, maybe!
