Tears Shed

Tears Shed

Farewell my love I no longer wait for my heart broken in time

Tears shed they waste away into the puddles of my mind

Be still my heart it beats so fast with every breath I fear the next

Your blood now flows into the rivers banks and then down into the rocks

Native drums beat across the miles of countryside filled with spirits from the soul

A heritage of longing to be free in all that is inspired my native tongue

Speaks to me as I cry inside no more the hurt no more the pain just tears shed away

Lay across the mountainside of the horses whisper into the night we cry only to live

Through the spirits eye and remain part of this valley the nation we led

Let one last tear fall from your face for the sake of the native Indian once upon a time
