The annihilation of purity.

My ship is unmoored,
the tide is receding,
my sails are flapping,
I'm drifting out to sea,
carrying my brooding solitude,
wind and rain begin to assail me,
in the distance,
just before the horizon,
a pirate watches me,
in tattered clothes and deadly sneer,
and breath of a thousand deaths,
his ghost continues to haunt me,
chasing me, reminding me,
the battle is still not over,
no safe island I can take,
no sheltering cover,
only her,
she's not here,
my compass, my lighthouse,
I'm adrift,
black skies pressing down,
harvest moon is shy,
hiding behind low clouds,
twinkling lights here and there,
the old pirate is mocking my isolation,
cackling at my solitary unease,
taunting me, beckoning me,
memories of the old battle,
are reflecting off the waves,
the annihilation of purity constantly relived,
I'm a boy once again,
and I still feel the pain,
the pirates stinking breath,
the breath of death,
saturated my once pure skin,
a fight I couldn't win,
when innocence was lost,
and childhood lost its smile,
but, twinkling lights above,
albeit sadly, remind me,
that I'm not alone,
I just need to reach out,
every star stands alone,
story's within are of nightmare solitude,
when horrors and demons have run amok,
victims of sickening perversion,
hide their shame behind a brave smile.
