The Body Shop

The total is equal to the sum of its parts

The Body Shop

I'll have a new heart please, not so tough,
the old one's not so remorseful enough,
new knee joints, so that I can walk again,
another personality, no talk about pain.

I'd like some eyes with twenty twenty vision,
watched them slicing new ears with precision,
I'll keep my hair, some protection from rain,
another bright mindset, no talk about pain.

I'll have one of those spleens on the shelf,
didn't fancy handling a new liver myself;
bet you think this poem's about you, you're so vain,
another pair of buttocks, no talk about pain.

Oh yes, I did say 'ality, keep my dry humour,
I passed private parts counter, it was just a rumour.
