The Colors of Hell

Dark shadows surround me in an empty alley
The rats run by as if they were human
My last cigarette I gave to a stranger but in my pocket a shot of vodka
I have lost all my money on a gambling machine the red sevens became sixes
If you know what I mean and I am half hung over from the night before
But I barely remember his name though he left a hundred dollar bill on the dresser drawer
Not sure where that hotel is cause I am in hell now with all my friends
Friends who have cheated who have stolen and been beaten
See us tramps stick together in all kinds of weather
And the weather right now isn’t so good seems like everything is gloom
Dark shadows of death in grim colors of red and black
Painted on the wet brick wall it reads it’s your time to die in shame
Then the razor blade rips my wrists and I fall back into the rubbage that awaits
Never to redeem my debts only the crumbs of my sin in death
