The devil's ride

The devil's ride

I named her Carrie because she was a car,
I bought it from a man called ray,
only a few years old with low mileage;
apparently he only used her to go to the supermarket,
the first thing that I noticed was when you turned the key
the engine wouldn't fire up,
you couldn't drive anywhere.

I took the v6 apart in an attempt to solve the problem ;
but it still would not start,
so I phoned a mechanic ,
after waiting for over two hours he arrived,
turned the key and said "you need gas !"
"what's gas ?" I asked,
he replied bemused, "petrolium spirits,"
I had never realised that a car had to be possessed before you could drive it.
