The Little Things

The sound of the birds singing in the early sunrise
The buds of the trees newly formed for spring
The shapes of the clouds in the sky, each forming its own surprise
The trees leaves, their limbs reaching out so high
The rose pedals so silky soft, so fragrant
The sound of raindrops hitting the window glass
The purr of the kitten, the wag of the dogs tail
The warmth of someones hand held in yours
The smile of a stranger walking by
Sunshine days, snowflakes that turn into snowmen
A childs laughter, a babies cry, the sound of music
A butterfly flying by, a turtle popping his head in the shallow of a lake
Flickering lightening bugs, like stars they twinkle
Golden full moon, the hoot of the owl, smell of pine in the forrest
The earthworms crawling after a thunderstorm
Little things we take for granite, little things we take to heart
