The Princess ?

The Princess ?

Illusion - velvet blind - fingers trembling - melting ice at the door

Drifting underneath memories - the sound of silence like a ghost

I whisper goodbye - as I hold the silken flowers - tight in my hand

A thousand shades of death - stare in surprise

Small like flies - helpless on water - frozen in their lies

Scared as I cry - a wordless beautiful girl - talking of fruit and sugar in the morning

I escape - hungry and pure - dressed in green

As quiet lips pray - dreaming of tomorrow - footsteps ache

Angels catch the scent of crimson - noises of echoes they hear wrong

Dizzy - shaking off sudden despair - I had forgotten I was lonely

Colors of black turn soft - as hopeless souls ancient and lost laugh

Shifting lakes of flesh - waiting cold in fear

Haloes of eternity - as they run upstairs - skin pale

Slowly birds die - in a pretty nightmare

Her hands stain - as the promise of a prayer - fade into the hour

Hatred sank deep - as love melts trapped spiders

Sin was wasted - bleeding into a pool - as tears from a sky

A pressing chill of holy madness - sometimes glittering in grey and white

A scream of thunder - wider than a stone - a face of pain

The flicker of twilight - fell hanging in midnight arms

The shadow haunting - as wet eyes break winter blue

As a star of her timeless past - scratches a flood near the sea

A choking heart - gone - as trees crawl in the night

Hollow secrets in the mirror - painted walls of dark December
