The thread of life

As we make our way along this slender thread,
Until we rest in our final bed.
Some stumble as they make their way,
some fall and never achieve, A Â head of grey.
We interact with all we meet,
Some kind, some bitter, some really sweet.
Some have A childhood full of fun,
while others are alone and have no one.
If you're lucky you will find love,
In a family you will fit like a hand in a glove.
They will teach you things you need to know,
As you live your life and continue to grow.
The things you learn along the way,
Surprise you more day by day.
Some kind, some evil, some really mean,
It's hard to understand just what you've seen.
A smile ,a glance, a loving look,
That's what makes you happy,
it's all it took.
Money sometimes can be short,
Which can make life extremely fraughtÂ
but you will get through it ,
you know you can,
That's the essence of a man.
our most valued possession in this life,
Is our children to whom we gave life.
The pleasure we gain every day,
As we see them smile , run and play.
There is nothing else on this earth,
that has more value or more worth.
One day when you finally reach the end,
There should be no regrets to attend.
As you slip away from this life,
Holding the hand of a loving wife.
A memory remains of all you've done,
That cheeky smile , that sense of fun.
Please don't mourn, just celebrate,
As the life, you've had's been really great .
