~The Unfortunate Ones~

~The Unfortunate Ones~

And for the unfortunate onesĀ

The endless cycle of pain beginsĀ

Day after day, night after nightĀ

Until one day you come to terms with itĀ

You look forward to that pain you learn to accept itĀ

Not because you acquired a taste for itĀ

It's because the anticipation of that pain is more unbearableĀ

Than the actual pain itselfĀ

And in the eyes of a broken childĀ

Where love and pain is just one in the sameĀ

This brutal abusing is so confusing in the little minds of innocent childrenĀ

They blackened your eyes and then apologizeĀ

Broken children learn to realize when the abuser apologizesĀ

Their words are meaningless its just a little reminder ofĀ

Their demise when the abuser apologizes it's a lie

Broken and bruised little ones lives can become such a messĀ

They silently weep and cry as they hide in the dark so no one can see the tears shed

Day after day, night after nightĀ

Love is pain and pain is loveĀ

in the eyes of a broken child.Ā
