face

What of the weeping face I now disown
White as a sheet
Sorrowful the sight
He can’t walk on his own
He can’t think on his feet
Standing – stumbling
Horribly contrite
I’m told I am responsible
For what becomes a frown
Wrinkled – adding years
The ‘guise transforms the self
Legs walking toward him
Arms carrying his heart
Building blocks of wisdom
Building character by stealth
Face sits with arms outstretched
Takes a deep breath then he sighs
With forefinger on his eyelid
He wipes away that cry
He is walking on his own
He is thinking on his feet
He stands and stops a stumble
He is with his friend Belief
As I turn away
I hear a murmur from behind
Face waves to me and smiles –
Jovial – sublime.

Love those lines Owen xo
Thanks Dean - I'm an optimist in that way - thanks for dropping by. All the best, O.
❤️ there lies great love in any sorrow, in any story told
- the way the heart is held
With greater hands, than gold.
You are welcome ?❤️
