To destroy something beautiful

To destroy something beautiful

Is it normal? Is it wrong?
The itch to destroy something beautiful
To mutilate and desecrate
But not out of hate

Perhaps to play reaper in time´s stead
To claim that beauty yourself, instead

But tearing off petals has grown so very dull
or squashing butterflies, or ants, like you would a pimple
I want brains and eyeballs popping out through skulls
I want havoc and carnage and beauteous culls

Is it abnormal? Is it sick?
Is it better left unsaid?
To want everything beautiful broken and dead?
To submit to hunger and abandon logic
If it’s the only thing keeping you fed?

It´s growing stronger, more violent, an urge I can’t ignore
I need more, much more, I can’t take it anymore!

All that is beautiful is calling my name
They´re fanning my flame so who’s really to blame?
By fate or by me, death´s all the same
All that is beautiful, become part of my game!
