Walking The Tightrope

Walking The Tightrope

Walking the tightrope trying to figure where I belong
Trying to balance all things past and present

It does scare the hell out of me
From this wire up so high

Should I walk across?
Do I need to look for a sign?

Sometimes pleasing everyone
Leaves little time for you and I

Holding the pole in my hands
Balancing life is one of God’s great plans

Still I feel the stress of the world From every angle
Across the way I see a familiar face

Beckoning me to the other side of this perilous flight
Walking steady I let loose of my fear

As I near the other side
I am grateful to God to be very much alive

Sometimes difficult situations arise
We must also understand that the passion we had still burns down deep inside

It will fade in time
Until you figure out the way to cross that great divide
