Walking The Tightrope

Walking The Tightrope

Walking the tightrope trying to figure where I belongĀ
Trying to balance all things past and presentĀ

It does scare the hell out of meĀ
From this wire up so highĀ

Should I walk across?Ā
Do I need to look for a sign?

Sometimes pleasing everyoneĀ
Leaves little time for you and IĀ

Holding the pole in my handsĀ
Balancing life is one of God’s great plansĀ

Still I feel the stress of the world From every angleĀ
Across the way I see a familiar faceĀ

Beckoning me to the other side of this perilous flightĀ
Walking steady I let loose of my fearĀ

As I near the other sideĀ
I am grateful to God to be very much aliveĀ

Sometimes difficult situations ariseĀ
We must also understand that the passion we had still burns down deep insideĀ

It will fade in timeĀ
Until you figure out the way to cross that great divideĀ

Ā
