We Could Have It All If We Try

I feel we could climb all the mountains no matter how high
We would climb back down safely no matter how steep
No matter how tall we could stand for the rights of all
To brave a young child’s fight with cancer and find a cure
We would swim the waters free of pollution and know it’s pure
While the dolphins speak we could hear their silent cry
We fight crime in our streets for peace not violence
To be there for those who come to us in need not turning away
Building a future for all race and culture so they can stay
Not looking at the outside but finding the inside of every man woman and child
Not judging the difference but knowing we are all different
And finding more solutions to problems big and small
Stop the addiction the corruption and consumption of weapons
Respect each others rights for our lives matter
Its time to face the music the reality the beauty that surrounds
Stop being so ugly about so many things we can’t fix it all in one day
The future is not ours alone it is ours together 
We could have it all if we try or we could have nothing at all
While our children watch those that die with no cause they fall
Be there to protect them from infectious diseases of mankind
We can have it all if we just believe in humanity
There is a reason we are here not just to live but to care
