What have we done

The sparrow sings every morning
The night becomes day, and the sky awakens
Every creature climbs a hill, maybe a mountain, maybe just a road
The flowers still bloom, the violets, the crocus are delight
The squirrels race upon the tree, the honey bee suckles the clover
But as humans we still litter, we throw trash into the lakes
What have we done, why are we doing it
The only way to stop it is to look in the mirror

We can be the worst caretakers of this planet. We also tend to put our heads in the sand, rather than face realities. A strong message throughout this piece. A good write
