What More Can I Do?

What More Can I Do?

Red satin and dark brown eyes
Whisper sweet nothings, just please no goodbyes.
It's okay to need more but this is all I can give,
You could share and feel nothing- that's not how I live.

"It doesn't bother me" you'll say,
This old fashioned love.
But your feigning something more,
you're trying to give me a shove.

In your own little way
you'd never say it aloud.
But I feel it just the same,
like the rain in the clouds.

You think we're soul mates,
baby I think that too.
But I cant be more then I am,
What more can I do?
