When I Give Up The Ghost

When I Give Up The Ghost

I don’t want to be a ghost
when I give up the ghost
I don’t want to be limited to a grave
I want to live when I leave

My body will live in the cemetery
My name must live among the living
I still want to be a change when I change
A lifeless giver of life

A revolution, arising from my immolated body
The Mohamed Bouazizi of the Arab Spring
I don’t want to die when I die
That’s why I work on living when I die

Hello Anthony...

If people put as much effort in living while they're living they could surely, be free when they die...

Right?

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...

How you live your life now will surely tell if you will still be alive even when you are dead. This is a thought provoking piece, Anthony.
