Where Poetry Hides

Where Poetry Hides

My poems
They like to hide away
Concealing themselves
Within the depths
Of the ocean
Filled with my emotion
They cower
In the clouds
Those clouds
That caught my eye
When I sat atop
The treehouse roof
At sunset
They morph
Into the graphite
On the tip
Of my pencil
The ink
Seeping
Out of my pen
Dark as the thoughts
They express
Lingering
Within
