Where The Earth. And Water Meet
Touching time between my hands
The measure of life and death gives way
In the energy of our spirit in mind and body
It begins where the earth and water meet and there it shall end covering our feet
Though the native sky will fill up with song
The faces of young and old will mirror forever in the rivers ripple
To know love, hate, anger, sorrow existed and made us stronger
The burial ground of our Cherokee ancestors, imprints of their bone fossils
Line the rivers bend, and lay rested in the sands
Where the earth and water meet the red of clay holds our bloods heart still beating to the drums of spirits that never die
