LOST IN A  NGHTMARE
When shadows lengthen, and the world grows cold,
And doubt's dark tendrils wrap around the heart,
When weary spirits, stories yet untold,
Are lost in night, and torn despair apart,
Then love, a flicker, kindles in the gloom,
A tiny ember, glowing soft and deep,
It chases fear, and banishes the tomb,
Where hope lay buried, in a troubled sleep.
Like dawn's first light, that pierces through the night,
Love's gentle radiance, a guiding star,
It leads us onward, with its warming might,
And shows us beauty, where dark shadows are.
So let love's light, within your soul reside,
And banish darkness, where you would confide.
