Winters Blanket of Love

Winters Blanket of Love

Shivering, my fingertips are blue, my toes are numb, and my teeth are chattering

I am a foot, traveling in these mountains of blanket snow beds, of covered earth, frozen ground

I have pelts of fur upon my feet, upon my back, and my head, to protect me from this bitter taste

The taste of want, the taste of your skin, in my fox tailed blanket of winters love

I will be waiting for you, the fire logs will be a flame, and the smoke will give you signal

Of my moaning, my chanting for your pleasure, and I will make a bed, beside you

It will be of bear hide, and rabbit skin pillow shams, I will cover myself with fresh jasmine

And I will oil my breasts and chest to your pleasure, with the oil from the fat of the lamb

Winters blanket of love will be myself, as I fall upon your manly hands and you take me in

Your deepest breath, we two will breathe the cold of the night, as the snow falls hard on the rocky mountains

I collapse from the long walk, and the food we have devoured into our empty stomachs

A native life in the winters eve, a blessing to have a room in a cave, and we make love

Until the morning sunrise, shines upon the evergreen limbs, covered in heavy white fluff

The woodpecker makes his alarm, as he gets his morning breakfast

And we smile at the sky, and the spirit of our native earth, where the crystals sparkle

And the winters blanket of love takes us to the next month, where the spring will melt the flakes away, and we shall say hello to another season of romance
