You used to know

Now your just somebody that you used to know 
Yesterday, last week, maybe over a year
When did it just click, no panic or fear
Do you remember the girl that you once were
What would you say to her, lay it all bare

Remember the stubborn teen full of worries and woes
Or was she a live wire, is it reap what you sow 
We all live and learn that is what is life 
As long as we taste the bread and it’s us holding the knife

To cut our chunk out of this world and enjoy it with every bite
We change everyday,  moving with the world, it’s our light to keep bright
