Chapter 26

Hallucination

It is June now and Joe Havard is sitting in a movie theater waiting for the movie to begin. There is only one other person in the theater a woman about Joe’s age with brown hair sitting alone a few rows ahead of Joe.
 
She turns to him and says, “I guess we are the only two people who are going to watch this movie today.”
 
Joe replies, “ Yes it looks that way.”
 
Joe sees the woman has a nice smile and she looks friendly. He decides to ask the woman if he could sit next to her and watch the movie together. He gets ready to make his introduction when he sees another woman sitting right next to her. The other woman has blonde hair and turns around and looks directly at Joe. It is Sandy from the dentist office. Joe closes his eyes for a minute and hopes when he opens them again Sandy will be gone. He slowly opens his eyes and she is still sitting next to the woman.
 
Joe says in astonishment, “What the Hell is she doing here?” Joe looks again and Sandy is gone. Joe in disbelief asks himself, “What did I just see?” Joe is stunned by this vision just sits there for the rest of the movie without saying a word or watching the movie. The movie ends and the house lights come on.
 
The girl with the brown hair walks past Joe and says, “That movie was scary. I wish I had someone to walk me to my car.” Joe still shaken by his vision of Sandy is speechless and does not reply.
 
Joe is back at work and in the lunchroom with Doug from Engineering. His obsession level has been high since seeing Sandy at the movies. He is afraid to tell anyone for fear they will think he is crazy. He is on his tenth cup of coffee so far today and he just
cannot forget Sandy. A very disturbed look comes over Joe and he gets up from the lunch table and he leaves to go back to his office. Doug a good friend is concerned and follows Joe to his office and asks Joe.” What’s wrong?”
 
“Doug I can’t stop thinking about that girl from the dentist office! It’s like she is inside my brain. I do not have any control over my mind!” Joe looks to the corner of the room and he sees Sandy standing there in her  Navy Blue top. Joe is horrified and tells Doug,
“She is in the room now standing there!”
 
Doug is confused and afraid because he has never seen anyone lose their mind before and is at a loss over what to do. Sandy removes her top and is completely naked. She approaches Joe and climbs on him and starts grinding her Vagina into Joe’s face. Joe does not realize Lamia is raping his mind.
  
Joe is paralyzed with fear and begs Doug for help, “Get her off me!”  
 
Doug remembers he brought in a box of doughnuts and left them on the coffee table and tells Joe, “Go back to the coffee table and eat some doughnuts!”
 
Joe desperately trying to free himself of this Hallucination Attack runs to the table and starts pushing doughnuts into his mouth. The more he ate the more the image of Sandy faded away.
 
Joe, thankful of Doug’s advice, went to find his friend to thank him but he was not in the office. He checked the lunchroom and eventually found him in the men’s room putting cold water on his face. Doug looked at Joe and he was terrified at what he had just
witnessed. Joe went back to his desk and took a small silver cross from his pants pocket. He silently prays to God he will not lose his mind and return him to stability.  

Joe did not answer the phone at work the rest of the afternoon and prayed holding his cross. He wondered why would God stick his hand in Joe's brain and try to crush his mind.
