In wait, as dread inches down in prickles
Humming air-conditioning deafens ears
Gripping despair forms empty pool trickles
Ticking clock chimes singing bells of all fears
Calcium fragments deep inside tissue
Sharpest blade undignified in its slice
Awaking flaws deliver hope askew
Uncertainty awaits, can't do this twice
Blood curbed, pressuring brutal honesty
Bruised, unearthed yet still endless time in wait
Vitally violent lacks all modesty
Unwanted suspense irked, nervousness grates
Exasperation free, as news is benign 
Death clock thwarted (for now) everything’s fine
