Buried Bones of Savage Love

Under the crypt of mountain ash, earth, and stone
I buried my love, my native princess, my soul mate
With my life, my passion, I am guided by her promise
By her kiss, by her song, and she will rise with the white doves
As they fly into the sunlight through an open leather blanket door
The honor, of our forefathers, the respect of our land, our growing child
We were once one, and now as I command, we shall again find comfort
Bones of savage love, I rip this broken wretched heart from my chest
I give it to you, as our skin will warm, as our loves passion beats once more
The drums will drum, the dance of joining spirits chant the night as we reunite
Shining bright in the heavens glowing ray, our blood rises to the top in vain
The blood of Cherokee strength, the lust for our drink of native life
Our savage love, no longer buried bones, we shall come to live
As the doves of hope and faith, carry us away and keep us safe
