Emptiness

When day seems grey
And laughter fades
Into the dimness of memory
I think of happier hours and
Joy exquisite at your side
When the light was clear and
Bright as everlasting dawn
But now I cannot see
And mind and body
Cry out or comfort
Unobtainable
Oh that you could share
My pain and walk my road
But sensibility was not yours
And I am tired
Leave my memory
And clear the road

I do not care
I search or strength
I search or peace
