Poem -
Fire
If I could steal the ears of a thousand listenersÂ
pour my words in their brains like poisonÂ
yet not aim to intoxicate
but inspire and motivateÂ
imagine I had an influenceÂ
my presence created a stir in the audienceÂ
instead of passing by un noticed,
my ideas sparked and ignited
if only flames grew as I bewitched minds
forest fires in the consciousness of human kindÂ

Thought provoking write Raquel. Most of us spend our moment in this life unnoticed, unheard and maybe that is exactly as it should be. It allows those of truly great spirit to lead and be heard, make a mark in this life...Mandela, Martin Luther King etc....hugs ?

Yes most of us really don’t have much to say anyway. Lots of people (like me) don’t even have a cause or a reason to create a ripple in the tide. We all just lie around in our Mediocre comfort. So I’m glad their are ppl like MLK and what not. Sad to be mediocre though. I accept hug.
