Ghost Ship

Ghost Ship

Ghost ship
Sailing blind.
No longer
Brimming with pirates.
No longer
The fleetest of her kind.
She lingers in obscurity.
Only a phantom of life.
No longer
Able to materialize.
Nor unfurl her sails in the wind.
To be real
A moment in time.
Illusion is not the replacement of reality.
It only makes the mind frail.
Leading it to
Turbulent waters.
Where other ghost ships are docked.
Waiting for the high tide of life.
To carry you away.
Into the ghostly night.

I find this piece terrifyingly honest and relatable as well as terrifyingly engaging.
Nicely put, Leone!
