If this was to be my final day
id find the time to hope & pray
get on my hands & knees & say
god' i tryed my best now lead the way

i did everything an all that i could
if anything i can say life was good
i created new life a precious girl
she is worth more than a gem or pearl
got an infectuios smile an is down to earth

i had a girlfriend too who gave me hope
got me through times when it was hard to cope
our loved was sealed like an envolope
brought happiness when we laughed an joked

forgive me for the times that i had sin
i didnt really understand the world i was in
controled by those that was evil and grim
but you already know that it was all but dim

so lets go to that place with the pearly gates
let me see my family & all my good mates!
