DARKNESS

In the dark, where light can't reach,
A lonely soul finds comfort deep.
By blackened rocks, at morning's light,
He finds his peace in endless night.

Stars fade above, the sea below,
In shadows' hush, his spirit grows.
Though darkness reigns, his heart takes flight,
In open sky and starry night, his guiding light.

Alone he stands, yet not so quite,
Embraced by sky and ocean's might.
The darkness holds him, yet sets him free,
A whispered peace in boundless sea
