Poem -

Leave me to the Wastelands

Leave me to the Wastelands

My tears flood the wastelands,
Causing everything to drown.
Screaming ten feet underwater,
But no one is around.

This feeling inside me,
Is scattered with debris.
It’s amongst the forgotten,
And it sometimes gets lonely.

Leave me to the wastelands,
It’s where I belong.
It’s the place where I ran,
To see who I’d become.

It’s somewhere I roam free,
But I have to pay a  price.
I endure a lot of toxicity,
And constantly sacrifice my life.

I’ve been abandoned many times before,
Over and over again.
I’d rather end the battle in war,
Because I simply can no longer defend.

Leave me to the wastelands,
It’s where I belong.
It’s the place where I ran,
To see who I’d become.

It’s not that terrible living isolation,
Because then the pain will fade,
I will have to face some devastation,
But it’s a home where I’d rather stay.
