Lightening in the Sky

As the rivers flow, the rumble in the cloud filled sky shaken
The rattle of the snake crawls into his hole
The elk deer hide in the forrest filled pines and oaks
The rabbit beds under honey suckle brush
While the sky lights up an arrow of shooting lightening
It crashes to the earth with all energy of speed
My love is in mother nature, in the rain we shall feel the wet of the wild
As I hunger for the spirit of the drums song and our blood
Runs down the cliffs of death, we left behind
Now the sound of our cries speak out from our staff
In the pain and the hurt, in the end our native land will survive
As the lightening strikes the rod of our chief
We shall be remembered in his light
