Morning After

After the rain, the clouds fade away, the darkness breaks way

There has to be a morning after, the dawn of a new day

The death of wet molding moss, the calm of the blanket where it lay

Where butterflies fly in the blue haven sky

And the rabbits leap by, side by side, then they hide

Where grass is tall and green, the clover smells of sweet honey

The sun warms the ground, and your bare feet pound into the earth running

The tears and sorrow no more, the pools of blood cover the wounds, pouring

Free like the birds, flying high overhead, the morning after is now filled with laughter

For the crying times are passing by, with drops of love to last forever thereafter
