Prickly Pear Pt 1

Poor David

Prickly Pear Pt 1

I`m using this poem as a bit of refresher, been stuck in a state of mind for a while. So its more for me that the Cosmos but I thought I would share. Hope you enjoy and God bless anyone named David Pauly (including the baseball player).

David Pauly lost a dare,
Now he had to eat a prickly pear.
So he shrugged his shoulders and bit right in,
but what came next gave him a scare...

*Crack*

He drew back quickly and
Poor David became aware,
That he drew blood
And some of his teeth were no longer there!

So Saturday with the boys
Became a bad Facebook photo
No, not really a camp fire story
But his dentist lost all hope though

So don't be a David
And eat a rock hard pear.
Because simile all you want
But he`ll be back.

I swear.
The Fish of the Sea.

Inspiration from Kieran! As well as an Etoro ad and a strange occurrence in a Texan bar... Hope you enjoy it. Kind regards. The Fish of the Sea.

Thanks, Jim! But I just noticed a few spelling mistakes! That's why I don't usually write my work directly onto the Cosmos... Thanks for the Comment. Kind regards. The Fish of the Sea.

Brilliant, made me smile like a maniac. I loved the sense of humour, no matter how unpoetic it seems to everyone else there is a subtle beauty in the way it makes everyone smile!
