Quiet Lover

Quiet Lover

From the sea to the ocean's breeze, I feel your touch

Through the trees in the forest, across the valleys in bloom, your whisper

I hear your voice, echo through the mountainside, from the rivers of time

Quiet lover, your spirit is with me, across the many miles, the country calls your name

An honest heart, the strength of purity, the sky writes your name in the clouds, it shines

With the sunbeam glow, another day, of woe, I speak to your letters afar

Each word written, the lines perfected, the kindest love, the many years, the tears

I feel the heat and passion in my heart, so deep, it can hardly beat at times

Quiet lover, I wait for you, until this maddening war is over, my love, I send you, so long apart

I will hold your letters in a treasure box, under the bed, for when I fall asleep, I won't

Weep, knowing our love is the strongest, never to end, as I lay down, dreams of you in my head

A quiet lover, one that no other can treasure but me
