Recycled Fruitcake

Recycled Fruitcake

I had a fruitcake that had been passed from person to person for 150 years.
I gave that recycled fruitcake to the wrong person and he's no longer here.
I gave it to a homeless man but I didn't think it was something he'd actually eat.
Four hours later, that man was found stiff as a board in the street.
Now I'm in prison because they said I committed manslaughter.
I've lost fifty pounds because they only give me bread and water.
I wouldn't have done what I did If I had known that man's life was at stake.
Why did he have to eat it, I thought nobody would actually eat fruitcake.
