The Charming Cowboy

Gitty up said the man with the cowboy hat and red handkerchief around his neck
Rugged yet different from all of the rest as he grinned that grin
Chewed that tobacco and spit it out
Onto the dirt and dust of the deserter who buried his son
Take me with you and hang them high let the saloon doors swing
As I dance on the table and let you put your hands on my thighsÂ
You of all people I am drawn to your holster where I will lay
In your arms with a drunken smile on my face
You will only stay for awhile then ride out of town
For the sherrif is looking for that good looking cowboy
The one so charming and good with his hands

This reads as a saucy little romp but ohhh the back story...I feel there is a HUGE backstory here! Fab poem x
A call back to the times... brutal... no I must say I prefer the present, but amazing poetry here. Peace and smiles to you. The Fish of the SeaÂ
