Poem -

The Cougar, and the Tiger

Stop teasing me with your words, with your eyes, with your dance
For I am a cougar, very experienced though very vulnerable
I have seen your kind before, never thought much of it
Except your body is so lean, so muscular, so active
You prey on the young, though you long for maturity
Experience is the best teacher, my young tiger
Follow me into the jungle, play with me for awhile, learn what it takes to be a viper
Your bite will not be venomous to me
For I am a survivor and I won't let your flirt hurt me
The jungle has a lion, the roar of the king protects his queen
