Is it the language we speak
Is it the tribe we represent or,
Is it the nation we belong to

What really defines us
Is it the continent we belong to or,
Is it the world we are in
Is it the culture we follow or,
Is it the beliefs we have

Is it the wealth we attain or,
Is it the knowledge we have
Is it the agony we endure or,
Is it the dreams we have

What really defines us
Is it the way we live or,
Is it where we live
Is it the way we relate or,
Is the way we show our emotions

What defines us
Is it who we love or,
Is it how we love
Is it the way we express ourselves or,
Is it how we look at the world
