When All Feels Lost
Blazing sunĀ
Who dipped
Then fled
And left me in eternal shadeĀ
Where the swallows come
to bow their headsĀ
In woeful tones
They serenade
Such sorrowful soundsĀ
Rebound off clouds
That bear the weight
ofĀ such despair
Like heavy heartsĀ
They fall to groundĀ
To weep their loveĀ
And blanch the airĀ
For all thatās lostĀ
Cannot be foundĀ
Sits as silentĀ
As a grave laid bare

Wow, Gwen, this poem is gorgeous. I know the subject is dark but the words used to convey that darkness are brilliantly woven. I live the rhyme scheme and meter too. The first verse has exceptional flow and the rest of the poem just works so well with it. A brilliant, brilliant poem x
