Blind.

Remembering what they once had
Words cannot cut through his dreams
And while for her he will always be glad,
Happiness escapes him as usual it seems.
For if their romance was just an illusion,
If true love has been compromised,
Then he will not partake in any confusion
But instead shall pluck out both his eyes.
Too old now to want for a new start,
Lady luck never smiled on him in kind,
And he cannot pretend to play out a part
When, but for the grace of her, he is blind.

Your welcome angel
Dear bad rhymes,
Sometimes, it would be a blessing
If one's mind was blinded too
And the suffering could be avoided
Of someone who broke their heart in two
.
But unlike the eyes, the brain is ever vigil
Of the heartbreak that's been endured
True love will never dissipate
Of that, one's life assures
Peace and Love,
