I Do My Own Thing!

Im my own person these are my own words written
got my own creative style none of this stuffs bitten

never been a copycat or took poems from anybody else
never picked a poem from a book on the library's shelf

always come up with my own thing that i put on the page
see ive seen poems copied if it was mine i'd be enraged

mind you i may give them a pass if they knew it was mine
signed my name at the bottom i think that would be fine

but not so good if they claimed it was there own piece
an started getting credit for what would be a fraudulent release

i wouldnt do that in a million years i just do my own thing
hoping one day my name can shine with the poems i bring
