Pioneering eye surgery

It's amazing what the eye surgeons can do,
remove cataracts on the top of a tibetan mountain in a large tent,
giving people their sights back,
guide dogs help their owners to get around, 
sometimes these ownews are given the ability to see,
no more white sticks,sunglasses and reading braille, 
colour bursts into life,
now they are doing it to babies born with no eyelids,
the doctors have come up with pioneering surgery 
where they put the foreskins of deceased men above the eyes,
mimicking the lids,
so far this operation has only been done on a few;
and at the moment there are still some side effects, 
eighty percent of the babies have ended up cock-eyed.
